Carolina Pilgrimages | Cool To Be Catholic In The Carolinas

Big Change at Catholic Roads: Welcome to “Catholic Cool” in the Carolinas…
Something new is rolling down the roads… and it’s got a little sunshine, a little barbecue smoke, and a whole lot of grace.
We’re updating Catholic Roads with a fresh focus and a simple message:
It’s cool to be Catholic in the Carolinas.
We’re calling it “Catholic Cool” (informally). And no—this isn’t about being trendy. It’s about discovering something deeper, richer, and surprisingly joyful right in our own backyard.

We’re Talking About The Places…
Not just churches—but the kind of places you remember. The quiet parish tucked between palmettos and the pines. The historic church that feels like it’s been praying for a thousand years. And that special coastal chapel where the breeze carries both salt air and something sacred too,
These are our unofficial shrines—real places, filled with real people, where faith lives and breathes. And they’re all very cool!
Catholic Cool in the Carolinas!
We’re Talking About The People…
The everyday saints.
The ones who don’t make headlines but do make a big difference where they live, work, and worship. The greeter who knows your name. The cook who feeds half the parish. And that quiet prayer warrior who sits in the third pew on the right.
Holiness doesn’t hide in the Carolinas—it smiles at you everyday.
It’s cool to be Catholic in the Carolinas—whether you live here or just visit.

We’re Talking About Joy …
Yes, even humor—Catholic Humor! You’ll find it in the Carolinas.
The kind that shows up at parish picnics, in fellowship halls, and in those moments when life gets messy—but grace still prevails.
Real faith in the Carolinas isn’t stiff—it’s alive! It part of the “vibe”!
Peace be with you!

Beyond the Church Walls …
Every stop on The Eucharistic Trail is surrounded by the charm of small-towns in the Carolinas — friendly people, good food, historic streets, and hidden treasures!
As you visit these parishes, take a moment to pray for the priests, the deacons, and the people in that community — and for all those who have yet to discover Christ’s love too. Then, step outside and enjoy the simple blessings that make the Carolinas such a beautiful place to live and explore—and to experience the blessings found on the Eucharistic Trail!

Our Story …
The Eucharistic Trail is more than a map — it’s a movement of faith, a call to evangelization, and a way to meet Jesus along the roads we already travel.
Every parish is a sacred destination. Every mile is an invitation to pray, love, and serve.
We’re E.B and Opa. And every journey reminds us that Jesus is alive and still present with us today — just as He promised.
We’re traveling The Eucharistic Trail, drawing caricatures and cartoons of the places we see. It’s our way of inviting you to make the Carolinas your favorite place for a pilgrimage.
That’s His story — and our story too. And we’re sticking to it.
