Saint Anthony Found the Wi-Fi
Religious Life & Vocations Cartoon by Opa
“Saint Anthony found the Wi-Fi for us again.”
Saint Anthony of Padua has been called upon for centuries to help Catholics find things that have gone missing. Apparently, that now includes the convent Wi-Fi!
In this lighthearted Catholic cartoon, several Sisters have discovered the one place in the convent where their phones and tablets seem to get a reliable signal—right beside Saint Anthony. Once again, the patron saint Catholics turn to when something is lost has come through!
Behind the technology gag is an affectionate look at religious life in the modern world. Sisters may live a centuries-old vocation of prayer, community, and service, but today that life can also include smartphones, tablets, websites, video meetings—and the occasional search for a decent Wi-Fi signal.
Catholic Media Reproduction License
This product provides a license to reproduce this cartoon in Catholic print or digital media, making it especially suitable for religious communities, vocation offices, dioceses, parishes, Catholic schools and colleges, newsletters, bulletins, websites, social media, presentations, vocation materials, and other Catholic communications.
It is a particularly fun choice for features about religious life, vocations, women religious, convent life, Catholic technology, Saint Anthony of Padua, or simply those wonderfully ordinary moments that remind us that Sisters have to deal with technology just like everybody else.
Humor can make religious life feel approachable and human—especially for young people who may be wondering what life inside a religious community is really like. Sometimes a smile can open the door to a conversation about something much bigger:
“Could God be calling me?”
